É o perfume. "La Panthère" [a captivating perfume that reflects a liberated, passionate woman].

Eu não tenho dinheiro para uma jóia, mas tenho (ainda, felizmente) dinheiro para um perfume. 

E os perfumes são o meu único luxo.

Nota de Rodapata: amanhã é Dia de Reis, o dia em que, tradicionalmente, acontecia a troca de prendas de Natal na minha família, e o perfume é um 'Regalo de Reyes" para 'moi-même'.

JOE COCKER: 1944/2014

O cantor britânico JOE (John Robert) COCKER, faleceu ontem, com 70 anos, em Crawford, Colorado (E.U.A) vítima de cancro.

JOE COCKER começou a carreira como cantor pop-rock, então com o nome artístico de Vance Arnold, no entanto foi como cantor blues-soul, no mítico Festival de Woodstock, em 1969, que ficou conhecido, não somente pela sua voz rouca como pelos seus gestos em palco. 

Com a versão de "A little help from my friends" (original dos The Beatles") ganhou fama e fãs, entre eles os The Beatles. 

Apesar de que a maior parte dos seus êxitos são versões, e também dos problemas com o álcool e as drogas, JOE COCKER manteve um carreira estável e até invejável, tendo feito inclusive no ano passado uma digressão pela Europa.

Uma vez mais, eu fui atraída para um anúncio através de uma canção - no caso concreto "Make Someone Happy" do JIMMY DURANTE. 

Eu não gosto do Natal. Mas gosto da dádiva. Infelizmente a maioria das pessoas apenas é solidária no Natal, então que façam alguém feliz na (suposta) época feliz do ano: 

dêem comida a quem tem fome; 

dêem roupa a quem tem frio; 

ajudem uma associação que apele ao vosso coração.

Mas, sobretudo, dêem um sorriso, um abraço, um beijo, porque... [schiuuu]... é grátis!
