CATS take over the London Underground!

«Dream big – and you could raise enough money to redecorate an entire tube station with photos of cats. An inspirational group of cat lovers have done exactly that and we salute them, raising a paw. The Citizens Advertising Takeover Service (CATS, if you didn’t get that) started a crowdfunding campaign to raise enough money to replace the standard adverts for new protein shakes and mortgage apps with pictures of, well, cats (…) and now the plan has blossomed into the beautiful thing it is today, with more than 60 adverts displaying cute kittens and cats from every angle at Clapham Common tube station. At first, the plan was just to put up pretty pictures of cats. But after thinking things through CATS decided to display photos of animals in need of loving homes – so many of the pictures you can see are cats from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home or Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare charity. ‘This isn’t a clever marketing stunt for a pet food brand, or a guerrilla campaign for a new TV series,’ organiser James Turner said (…) ‘The people behind it are volunteers who raised the money on Kickstarter. We want to inspire people to think differently about the world and realize they have the power to change it.’» in METRO UK
